Sigma has released a firmware update for the Sigma SD1 and Sigma SD1 Merrill digital SLR cameras. According to the company, version 1.07 for the original SD1 and version 1.02 for the SD1 Merrill incorporate the following improvements and fixes:
Improved start-up speed.
Allows a dedicated external flashgun to be used in manual mode whilst the camera is in mirror up mode.
The phenomenon of the LCD display showing minor fuzziness immediately after start-up is corrected.
Various bugs have been corrected to achieve more stable operation.
