SINWP Announces Close-up Photography Competition Winners

The Society of Nature and Wildlife Photographers (SINWP) has announced the winners of its close-up photography competition. Mohamad Fahmi from Masai in Malaysia was chosen as the winner from over 480 images entered in to the competition, with the image entitled ‘What you looking at’ (above). Mohamad has won a 12-month SINWP membership.

Close Up Photography Competition Winners Announced
The Society of Nature and Wildlife Photographers have announced the winners of the Close Up Photographic Competition.
For this competition photographers were asked to submit any images from insects or animals living in their natural environment.
Mohamad Fahmi from Masai in Malaysia was chosen as the winner from over 480 images entered in to the competition, with the image entitled ‘What you looking at’.
Mohamad tells us “Well I'm really shocked because this is my first time entering an international competition and I won it.., Thank you to the judges for giving me a chance to show my skills towards photography. It would be great for my journey as a freelance photographer to win this competition.”
Mohamad has won 12 months membership to The Society of Nature and Wildlife Photographers (SINWP). Phil Jones, The Societies CEO says, “This image has captured the theme in its entirety. The photograph has a very strong narrative as the deceive moment and it has been excellently captured.”
Phil Jones CEO said ‘With over 480 entries this competition truly excelled and posed our panel of judges with a difficult choice. The captivating winning image demonstrates the photographer’s keen eye and attention to the smallest detail. The viewer has just one point of interest to hold their attention and the image is a worthy winner.
He continues, “The competition had a very high standard which made judging very difficult, the range of entries was very broad and we have seen everything from jellyfish to mice and everything in between. We enjoy viewing all the images entered and we are looking forward to another bumper crop of images entered in to or next competition the Living Planet' Photography”.
The runners up Anuj Raina from Ahmedabad and Ken Hadfield from County Durham have both been awarded 6 months membership to the SINWP photographic organisation.
