Sony A100 Review at CameraLabs
CameraLabs have just reviewed the new 10.2 megapixel Sony A100 DSLR camera.
“There’s no denying Sony’s Alpha DSLR-A100 is an impressive camera for the money. Simply having 10.2 Megapixel resolution and built-in anti-camera-shake is enough to elevate it beyond most budget digital SLRs. Throw in a high resolution 2.5in screen and some neat image processing options along with a kit lens which zooms-in further than the competition, and it’s looking even stronger.”

Good review, the verdict kinda said it all, looking foward to Panasonic's new entry, soon, real soon!

"To be fair, most of our images appeared dust-free, but a handful definitely had one or more visible marks. As such, Sony's anti-dust system appears less effective than the one from Olympus."
Bugger. I considered buying one for my father, who seems to be really into this camera. He has a couple of Minolta lenses and a system flash waiting to go digital. But come on, the Alpha 100 has dust marks after just a few days/weeks of testing? That means the Sony anti-dust solution is nothing but a marketing bluff. I, for one, expected much more. Have had my E-1 for 17 months and never needed to clean the sensor! Expected the Alpha 100 to be at least as effective.

I too had hope for this camera, but shortcomings in the image processing appears to have taken a step backward from Nikon, and, even, Minolta!
I'm a bit confused about the "dust" eval, like, did they intentionally inject dust into the camera to evaluate the anti-dust system? sounds a bit screwy to me.
