Sony A100 Review at ThinkCamera
ThinkCamera have just reviewed the new 10.2 megapixel Sony A100 DSLR camera.
“To my eye the Sony Alpha 100 gives images with exactly the kind of punch and tonal range that I associate with the very best compact cameras but with all the flexibility and expandability of a complete system DSLR. That may seem a very strange comparison to make but I expect more first time DSLR users to be delighted with the Sony on day one than with an entry level offering from the other players.”

They are saying:
"Search the web and you will find a hundred different ways of cleaning a sensor but at the moment the Sony is the only one with a an easy built in way of cleaning it."
This is totally flawed. Sony weren't even close to being an SLR manufacturer when, back in 2003, Olympus introduced their own sensor dust buster, the SSWF. It has since been incorporated into 4 Olympus DSLRs, plus the new Panasonic DMC-L1 and has been found to work extremely well. It is great to see yet another manufacturer realise the importance of risk-free sensor cleaning, but whether Sony's solution really is a match for Olympus' SSWF technology remains to be seen.

Very interesting, again, another attempt to attract buyers and with "flawed", as you put it, information. It's like reputation and credibility have become unimportant in the digital age.

25 Aug, headlines in the Daily Yomiuri..." Sony Corp. took more than a fifth of the nation's digital single-lens reflex camera market in it's debut month, claiming third place after Canon Inc., and Nikon Corp. a market researcher said."
