Just more and more confirmation that the rush-to-production has left the test and eval folks in a very stressful position!
Without proper testing we will see more and more problem areas, just the other day it was the Leica M8, a short while ago it was the painful battery problems Sony had to swallow, now, this..and who suffers most? yep, you and me, and those poor folks in test/eval that are pressured into giving a product an "OK"
Gotta slow down fellas, we need rock-steady, dependable stuff to invest in, producing models faster than spermatazoa production is not the answer!

Had the same problem with a Sony Handycam-DCR-PC5-When exposed to a humid climate
it just stopped working-Tried everything possible short of throwing it against a wall-Nothing worked -it refused to function-
Sony wanted $311 plus tax to handle the matter-
Now they inform us of the same problem on other digital cameras-What gives--????
