Sony NEX-7 Firmware Update 1.01
Sony has posted a firmware update for the Sony NEX-7 compact system camera. The update allows users to disable the movie record button to avoid the risk of accidental operation during still shooting; and adds wider 1EV, 2EV and 3EV steps to the list of exposure bracketing options. Further enhancements include improved auto image review, improved image quality with wide-angle lenses and improved indication when setting Flexible Spot AF Area. Registered owners of the Sony NEX-7 compact system camera can download the firmware update from the website below.

Sharper shooting with free firmware update for NEX-7 camera
A brand-new firmware update improves handling and expands creative options with the NEX-7 interchangeable lens digital camera from Sony.
Available as a free download for all registered NEX-7 users, the update adds these useful shooting enhancements:
Enable/disable MOVIE button: Operation of the rear-mounted MOVIE record button can be disabled, avoiding the risk of accidental operation during still shooting.
Wider exposure bracketing: The range of exposure bracketing options is increased with the addition of wider 1.0EV, 2.0EV and 3.0EV steps (bracketing increments were previously 1/3EV or 2/3EV). In Auto AE bracketing mode, the NEX-7 shoots a high-speed burst of three frames at different exposure values, allowing photographers to pick the best frame.
The update also adds further refinements that enhance operability and ease of use for NEX-7 customers. These include improved auto image review, improved image quality with wide-angle lenses and improved indication when setting Flexible Spot AF Area.
Registered NEX-7 customers can update their camera from 18th October by visiting http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/NEX-7/updates

Great article. I also have the same problem as GK.
I actually got an NEX 7 while having an NEX 5N because i heard about the auto bracketing feature increase in NEX7 but unfortunately after i updated the new camera it was still 0.3EV shots?? Is there a setting i have to change to make the mode with bigger EV numbers?
Thanks
