For daily use I have the Sony 16-105. The zoom ratio is a bit smaller (6.6 vs 7.5), the long end is a bit shorter (105 vs 135), but I still prefer it for its short end (in 35mm would be 24 vs 27). It might be interesting for somebody who has no general use lens, but less interesting as an upgrade. Anyway, we still have to see what this lens has under the skin (optical quality, construction quality and all the like).
