Tamron has announced its intention to establish a new manufacturing subsidiary in Vietnam. According to the company, the new plant shall “expand the company’s overall production capacity in line with the continuing growth in demand”. Located in Hanoi, the 13,400-square-metre factory will provide employment for approximately 2,000 workers.

Preliminary notification concerning a new manufacturing facility in Vietnam
Tamron Co., Ltd. (Morio Ono, President & CEO) announced today that it would establish a new manufacturing subsidiary in Socialist Republic of Vietnam with the following preliminary outline:
The intent of adding a new manufacturing site in Vietnam is to expand the company’s overall production capacity in line with the continuing growth in demand, which is expected to exceed the current being sustained by three plants located in Aomori Pref., Japan as well as the one in Foshan, China.
