I bought the magazine issue with the finalists photographs in it and I have to say they were really, REALLY boring - the images in amateur competitions are far more interesting. I was really surprised at the dull cliched nonsense in this competition. One winner was a tilted BW shot of the Eiffel tower (the cliched sloping horizon rubbish that spoils wedding photography). Another was an underexposed show if a few running shoes dangling by their laces against a black background. It really was total cr*p.
