ThumbsPlus 6 Released

Mark Goldstein | Software | July 26, 2003 | 3 Comments

A new version of Cerious Software’s “ThumbsPlus” has just been released. If you haven’t heard of ThumbsPlus before then here’s a quick summary of what it is:

“ThumbsPlus is a highly customizable image database / thumbnails / graphics editor application that makes it easy to catalog, locate, maintain and modify all your graphics and multimedia files.”

I’ve not used this program before, but I’ve just installed the demo version to give it a try. I’ll let you know what I think in a few days.

I installed this yesterday on my machine. A very cursory examination finds that everything still works the way you would expect it to.

Surprisingly, the Canon CRW converter is still a separate add-on, not installed as part of ThumbsPlus v6.

The digital loupe works very nicely, btw.

So I have to install an extra program for ThumbsPlus to be able to recognise Canon RAW files? Hmmm...didn't realise that! Is it a separate download as well?

Yes, it's a separate download right on the same page as the main download. I want to say bottom of the right-hand column (it says it needs ThumbsPlus v5.01 or higher).

It does work fine, I've tried it with TP 6.
