Photographs submitted should encompass the spirit of travel and be representative of different cultures, lifestyles, landscapes and people that one has contact with while on the road. All finalists will be published in a special edition of TNT Magazine and the photography finalist’s work will be exhibited for paid commission sales. The competition closes on August 8th.

London, 22 May 2008 - The 18th Annual TNT Magazine Travel Photography Awards is a competition encouraging talented photographers to submit entries in return for recognition and fantastic prizes.

The 2007 awards generated a phenomenal response with a high standard of entries. Judged by TNT’s specialist panel, including Lonely Planet’s Tom Hall, the awards are highly regarded within the independent travel market. The Readers’ Choice awards were also a success last year with online voting of our finalists at the TNT magazine website.

The prize categories are as follows:

Travel Writing
1st prize: £1000 Supercheque retail and travel voucher

Readers’ Choice Award for Best Travel Story: £500 Supercheque retail and travel voucher

Supercheques are redeemable at hundreds of popular UK stores including PC World, Dixons and WH Smiths.

Travel Photography
1st prize - People and Personality: Olympus E-3 professional camera with 14-54mm lens RRP £1499
1st prize - The World Around Us: Olympus E-3 professional camera with 14-54mm lens RRP £1499
Readers’ Choice Award for Best Travel Photograph: Olympus E-420 Double Zoom Kit RRP £479
