I haven't come across a card it doesn't read. High capacity and the older cards as well. Watch out, however, with the power plugged in the reader can get quite warm. I unplug the power plug most of the time because it will read cards without the power. I have to plug the power back in when I'm hooking up more than one connector. But you can plug in-out the power on the fly.
