The Epson R300 is awesome for photo work. I have had mine for over 5 years and have never had a problem with it. I have printed hundreds and more hundreds of photographs with it. I did not purchase it for text. The photo quality is amazing for the price I paid. If you can find one get it. If you want a printer for text, forget this one. Cover this printer with a dust cover and it will stay pretty and clean inside.
