Tulips from…Nottingham?!
Taken in a suburban garden in Nottingham, England, on an annoyingly windy Spring afternoon, with the Canon 10D and 50mm f/1.8 lens.

Nice Mark. The detail in the second one is pretty incredible. Neat composition on the third one.

Thanks Sean. Not quite the composition that I wanted on the 2nd one - needed to crop out the green bits on the right-hand side really.

I'm about to buy the Canon 100mm Macro lens. If this is what the 50mm lens can do, then I'm really looking forward to using a proper macro lens. And to think that I always thought macro photography was a bit, well, dull...! If anyone has any tips then let me know

Do you have the 50 macro already? Because if you do, you could probably save yourself a bit of money and just get the Life Size Converter. Works really well. Just a thought.

No, unfortunately it's just the 50mm standard lens...although for £60 it is a great lens!
