UK’s First Mobile Phone Photography Course Launches
Digital photography school Photography Made Simple launches the UK’s first ever mobile phone photography course this month. The courses will take place around the UK, starting with the first mobile phone photography class in London on 16th January. The mobile phone photography class schedule includes practice sessions on composition, making the most of natural light, using the flash, timing and focus. Phil Hibberd, co-founder of Photography Made Simple said, “Kids have a real interest in photography but we find they can’t afford an expensive camera so we thought it would be a good idea to run a photography course focused solely on mobile phone photography as it’s still possible to take good creative photographs even with a mobile phone.” The London event will take place in Crystal Palace, and will be followed by classes in Ashton Court, Bristol and Birmingham Central Library on 5 and 7 February, respectively. Book your place online via the website below.

Photography Made Simple Launches UK’s First Ever Mobile Phone Photography Course This Month
With mobile phone technology developing at breakneck speed, taking photos on your Blackberry has the potential to change the face of photography forever. Digital photography school Photography Made Simple launches the UK’s first ever mobile phone photography course this month, proving you don’t need to be David Bailey or possess high-tech equipment to take good photos. In fact you don’t even need a digital camera. With the latest mobile phones jam packed with enough gadgets to take great shots, the art of photography is becoming more accessible than ever. The courses will take place around the UK, starting with the first mobile phone photography class in London on 16th January.
The mobile phone photography class schedule includes practice sessions on composition, making the most of natural light, using the flash, timing and focus – all things you would normally associate with more traditional photography equipment. Designed for a digital age, mobile phone photography by Photography Made Simple is taught in small groups during intensive one-day workshops. The firm hopes to use the groundbreaking practical sessions to encourage youngsters how to use their mobiles creatively while igniting artistic inspiration amongst a wider audience.
Phil Hibberd, co-founder of Photography Made Simple said, “Kids have a real interest in photography but we find they can’t afford an expensive camera so we thought it would be a good idea to run a photography course focused solely on mobile phone photography as it’s still possible to take good creative photographs even with a mobile phone. The iPhone and Blackberry Cameras are very good and sometimes you can barely distinguish between pictures taken on a mobile and those that aren’t.”
Changing the way we see photography, the Bristol photography course is priced at just £40 and limited to 19 students. The class really demonstrates that it’s often not necessary to spend hundreds of pounds on a camera when the ubiquitous phone will do almost the same job.
