Well, I've done a lot of hiking, climbing, camping and general travel. Have to admit I've never seen colors like that! Looks like IMHO National Geographic is obsessed with over-saturation of natural colors, as are many well known Landscape and nature magazines these days. Don't know why either...our earth is fascinating and beautiful, without photographers and their publishers feeling like they need to enhance it with "super" coloring in editing programs. Turns me off. I long for the natural, rich but natural renditions of years past! The cover shown above surprises me from a magazine that has always been very respected for representing reality!
