The new Voigtländer Nokton 50mm f/1.5 Aspherical VM is the improved edition of a classic M-mount rangefinder camera lens. Described as an “inexpensive” alternative to the faster Nokton 50mm f/1.1 VM, the improved Voigtländer Nokton 50mm f/1.5 Aspherical is constructed of 6 elements in 5 groups and comes equipped with a 10-bladed iris diaphragm. The closest focusing distance is 70cm, a 20cm improvement over the lens’ predecessor. Available in black and silver, the new Voigtländer Nokton 50mm f/1.5 Aspherical VM lens takes small 49mm filters. The exact launch date and pricing have yet to be confirmed.

Strongly looking forward for the launch. Near focus improvement to 70cm is very very welcome! I'll buy it.
