Fujifilm Finepix F810

The Fujifilm FinePix F810 is a very intuitive and well designed compact digital camera that will please both beginners and more advanced photographers alike. The The Fujifilm FinePix F810 has a full range of creative photographic options that will allow you take more control as your experience increases - its refreshing to see this on a compact digicam. In addition the Fujifilm FinePix F810 is one of the most responsive digital cameras that I have reviewed, outdoors and indoors, and is well-suited to capturing both static subjects and more fast-moving subjects such as your children or sports photography.
The Fujifilm FinePix F810 has the look and feel of a premium product, with its brushed aluminum exterior and excellent general construction. The large 2.1 inch LCD on the rear of the camera is impressive and there is the bonus of a dedicated widesceen mode, although this is really just cropping of the larger standard picture format. The Fujifilm FinePix F810 produces good 6 megapixel images that aren't too noisy at ISOs 80 and 100 and don't suffer from chromatic aberrations. I will leave you to decide if the interpolated 12M file quality/size is worth using.
There are a couple of aspects that detract slightly from the Fujifilm FinePix F810's overall rating. Most serious are the fact that the moderate ISO speed's of 200 and 400 produce quite noisy images, and ISO 800 can only be used with the 3M file quality/size. Therefore the Fujifilm FinePix F810 is best used at the slower ISO speeds whenever possible. Also the camera is not pocketable due to its elongated design, which may or may not concern you.
Overall the Fujifilm FinePix F810 continues the Fujifilm tradition of being both a stylish and easy to use camera that doesn't assume that you don't know, or want to know in the future, how to take control and use it to its full potential. Highly recommended.
