The majority of these pictures were shot with the AF-S 85mm f/1.4G and AF 50mm f/1.8D prime lenses. The lone bike and the moving cyclist were captured using the 70-300mm VR. For the ISO series, the 24-70mm f/2.8 zoom was used.

The book pics interested me… Can I assume a progression of ISO values - it would be nice if they were consistently labeled - some have ISO, some not. I am assuming that they progress up the ISO chain, in which case I am VERY interested (I shoot in clubs, low-light), and the results are astounding. If it’s not a progression, then I’m am still impressed.

I think they were a progression Andy.. The first photo of the magazines was Lo-1 (ISO 50) and the bottom 2 were ISO 12800 and ISO 25600.
Love the clean sharp high quality of these photos and would love to see another set with the Nikon D800e in future if possible ;-D

Maybe this is just me, but the pictures look at my (high resolution) monitor very unnatural sharp (in fact ugky). The amount of details is amazing but the pictures of my 10 megapixel camera look much better and have a natural softness that is more pleasing to the eyes.
