There are great taken photos here but I think Donnie Biggs is right. The image quality is not really that good.

I totally disagree: for this kind of camera, the image-quality is actually pretty good!!

The photographer is good, but the image quality is crap.

Yes, the photographer might be good! Yet: in comparison to other models of Olympus, Sony and Panasonic of the same type (same sensor size, periscope lens) the image-quality holds up pretty well too! (other comparisons would be b.s.) I´m sure the forthcoming reviews and tests of this camera will show that.

Personnaly for this type of camera I found the photos very well.
Personnaly I have An EOS 7D + Lumix TZ37 and compare to my lumix it is much better.

I just got mine a few days ago. The AF speed and startup times are what sets it apart for me :) and the 1 mill dot lcd screen is great too!
IQ up to ISO 800 is pretty good for a compact waterproof camera, and I would even use iso 1600. 3200 and 6400 arent unusable but i would try not to use it. the magic filters are great fun and super macro is loads of fun as well. tg 820 is good so far, havent tested it in water yet!
