Sigma 30mm f/2.8 EX DN Photos Image

Here are 18 JPEG photos taken with the new Sigma 30mm f/2.8 EX DN compact system camera lens.

The Sigma 30mm f/2.8 EX DN is a new "Digital Neo" lens for Micro Four Thirds (MFT) and NEX system users. The Sigma 30mm DN is equivalent to a 60mm lens on Micro Four Thirds and 45mm on the Sony NEX system.

They were shot indoors around the Sigma stand at the Focus on Imaging show, hardly the most photogenic of locations, so don't be too critical of the rather mundane subject matter.

Maybe I’m not jumping up and down for the bokeh, but thats a matter of taste anyway, and the lens looks like a great alternative to he semi crappy Sony 16mm.

I do wish they would charge 100 bucks more and have it 2 stops faster.

Cause as it is, I find the Sony 50mm a little bit too long, but will stick with it over this one for the speed and OSS.

I’m thinking a lot of people who buy Nex do it for the low light capability, but not all can afford the 24mm Zeiss lens.

And, effective 45mm is just a great length for a prime lens.

One question: will the E-mount version of this lens protrude less, since Sony’s protruding E-mount already puts extra space between lens and sensor?
