The image quality of the Bridge Cameras is still very bad. ISO 80 is a disaster. What should I do with a 50x zoom, when the image quality is so bad? And next year? 100x zoom lens, but noise like a waterfall? Makes a 25x zoom, f2.8 like the Panasonic DMC-200 but with top image quality to ISO 1600.

When Sony gives up pumping the pixel numbers, I’ll start recommending my friends to buy Sony. Until then, I will not let any of my friend to buy an 18 or 20MP, or even a 16MP Sony-Fuji-Nikon-Canon. 20MP in a compact is like a joke, as the sample pictures show. Too many jaggies, too many JPEG artifacts, disgusting CA from the lens (blue and not easy to correct), noise even at ISO80, water-paint photos over ISO200… Terrible, terrible, terrible…
Give us a 12-MP bridge camera and we’ll talk again Sony.

Is the Pal version identical to the NTSC version? Comparing the specs on the various Sony sites no mention of Bionz on the North American Sony sites whereas Bionz is featured on the Spec sheets for Asia and Europe

How can I tell which shots were at what focal length in the gallery please
