Sony NEX-5N Photos Image

We spent yesterday shooting with the new Sony NEX-5N camera at the Sony Europe launch event in Athens, Greece. Here are 74 sample photos and a 1080p movie taken with the Sony NEX 5N camera and a variety of different lenses, including the new Carl Zeiss 24mm and the Sony 55-210mm.

There's also a full ISO range from 100 to 25600 so that you can see exactly what the 16 megapixel sensor is capable of.

The Sony NEX-5N is a new compact system camera with a resolution of 16.1 megapixels, responsive auto focus, world’s shortest shutter lag and 1080p/50fps video recording capability.

Photo’s look amazing.  Too bad that albert above is a troll.  For a sub $1000 camera.  These are impressive pictures.

Does the ISO really go up to 25,600 like you say in your intro?

Re: the video framerate. I know that the NEX-5n NTSC version shoots at 60p 24p while the PAL version shoots at 50p 25p. Is it possible to switch version in the firmware?

The point is I wanted to know if the PAL version can be set to shoot at 24p.
