We spent last week in Iceland shooting with the exciting new Sony NEX-6 compact system camera. Here are 40 full-size sample JPEG photos taken with the new Sony NEX-6, including the full ISO range.

Please note that the NEX-6 that we used was a late pre-production model, so the image quality may not be indicative of the final shipping version, due out in November.

In my opinion, ISO 800 shots are a bit noisy, with a loss of detail in blacks and shadow areas. I see also a lot of chroma (CA?) in the barman shot. This new 16-50 lens isn’t so impressive, is it?

Nice shots but bad weather as usual here

i loose my sony nex 5n and a zeiss biogon 25mm lenses in the same place falling down from the same hotel terrace in Reykiavik where these sample photos were taken

I was looking at buying an NEX6 but if these photos are typical, i certainly would not buy one.  Very disappointed.  I did not want a heavy DSLR, but seems they take much better pictures.
