The Canon EOS 500D is the second Canon DSLR to capture full HD video. It does so at 1920x1080 pixels and 30fps, and stores it in the Quicktime MOV format using the H.264 codec.

This is a sample movie at the highest quality setting of 1920x1080 at 30 frames per second. Please note that this 7 second movie is 36.7Mb in size.
