I dont know if anybody has had this problem with the s1800.My camera will not show the picture i just take and it flashes red and green on the power light and i cant do anything with the camera as it freezes and i have to open the battery cover to reset the camera.I cannot get any of the buttons to work until i open the battery cover.I read the reviews and noneof them say any thing about this.I tried to take pictures without the memory card as well samething .How to you read error when manual only goes to page 43 .It says to go to page 98? please let me know wether i should get a new camera or what

i COMPARED the fuj s1800 side by side with several other cameras. It was by far the last choice.
It had many problems that would/will/do prevent it from taking a good picture. Many problems.
and I am seing reports on here of even More Problems that I did not experience durring my test of it.
I would not get it (the Fuji “s1800” , sure it looks neat and has lots of zoom. But screws up the pictures.
I would get the comparatively priced. PASASONIC or Canon cameras over it. with 10 -14 times Optical zoom.

Purchased the Fujifilm S1800 camera as an intro into digital photography & for the price, it has been a great buy.
Only 2 negatives i’ve had so far, is when i first purchased it, the camera used to freeze up when trying to view photos. This was eventually sorted out by downloading updated software (which was not easy for a person with limited computer skills) & the other issue is that the battery life is poor & becomes costly to replace with good quality batteries.
I have had great fun with it & have taken some fantastic pics with it. When i eventually decide to move to another camera, it will only be for a more professional DSLR to take my hobby to another level.
