Good picture quality in day or night, very hard flash, sometime blows away nearest objects, macro almost impossible to take, rest is very good for this class of camera, also has HDR.

Great camera. I love point and shoot photography and used the Coolpix S6200 in my last travels and it was awesome(http://www.seepointshoot.com has some examples).
The only downside I’ve found with the Nikon Coolpix series is the quality of night photos sometimes. If you are looking to take a lot of night photography I think there are better options out there. Otherwise this is excellent value.

Nikon s6300 is realy very good camera if u compare it with its price. But u don’t have to move ur camera while taking photos. Just stand motionless to take good n sharp photos.

I have a problem:
It takes fireworks mode with only ~1 s shutter time, instead of 4 s that in the specifications on the official site:
http://europe-nikon.com/en_GB/produc…/coolpix-s6300
Under specifications: “Speed: ... 4 s (Fireworks show scene mode)”
I have made a video about my problem:
http://youtu.be/z9ZT08_LqVY
Please test your device and reply as fast as possible cause I have 3 days return warranty and I don’t know that my device broken, or it is a serial bug!
Thanks!

I have had many Nikons, including the F, F4, D90 series. This camera to me is a waste of money. It over exposes every shot, but at least it has an exposure adjuster. The flash washes out everything, and close-ups are dismal. The view screen is ultra delicate, and one slight bump, and the screen is toast. Mine is a month old, and now worthless. Making everything in China has made this camera a tosser.

DON’T BUY THIS CAMERA. IT DOES NOT AUTOFUCUS WHEN YOU ARE IN VIDEO MODE AND ZOOMING IN AND OUT. RESULT IS THAT WHEN U ZOOM IN OR OUT YOUR SHOOTING IS OF VERY POOR QUALITY WITH VIDEO COMPLETELY BLURRED. I AM FROM INDIA AND HAVE BROUGHT THIS PROBLEM TO THE NOTICE OF THE COMPANY BUT THEY CHOSE NOT TO REPLY.

Very nice small camera. Takes awesome pictures
The power button isn’t small but perfect, I have big hands and it only needs a brief push and hold to operate.
Full HD recordings are impressive.
10x optical zoom works flawlessly

got this camera for christmas present. port was broken when i tried to download pictures. Nikon says I broke it so warranty is invalid. fixing it would cost $109.00. Camera only cost about $120.00 How does this make sense? Not happy with Nikon. Will not buy their products again if that is how they treat their customers.
