Sony FE 28-70mm F3.5-5.6 OSS Review

February 7, 2014 | Mark Goldstein | |

Sharpness at 35mm

For this test, the Sony FE 28-70mm F3.5-5.6 OSS lens was attached to a Sony A7R body, which in turn was mounted on a sturdy tripod. Exposure delay mode was activated. Tonal and colour variances across the crops are due to changes in natural light during the session.

Centre sharpness remains high through from f/4 to f/16, with f/22 and f/25 being adversely affected by diffraction. The edges aren't quite as sharp as the centre, with f/8-16 producing the sharpest results.
