The camera's dimensions are 101mm (W) x 60.5mm (H) x 32.6mm (D), and it weighs 170g without the battery and storage card fitted. The camera is powered by either 2xAA Ni-MH / Alkaline batteries or a NH-10 Rechargeable battery. There is a plastic tripod mount in the centre of the bottom of the camera. The PC interface is USB 1.0, NTSC / PAL AV outputs are available, and there is an optional 3V AC power adapter. Printouts can be made without going through a computer by directly connecting the Fujifilm Finepix E500 to a PictBridge-compliant printer.
Finally, the standard box kit contains a 16MB xD Picture Card, 2 x AA Alkaline batteries, hand strap, USB cable, A/V cable, Cradle Adapter for use with CP–FA10 PictureCradle, CD–ROM for Windows and Macintosh containing: USB driver, FinePix Viewer and ImageMixer VCD2 for FinePix. You will need to buy some bigger memory cards and some rechargeable batteries when you purchase the camera, as neither the 16Mb card or the Alkaline batteries are of much use.
