Ricoh Teams Up with Google

Ricoh hasupdated the apps for the Ricoh Theta spherical image camera to allow users to post spherical images to Google Maps and Google+. Made possible through a collaboration between Ricoh  and Google, the Theta apps are now compatible with Photo Sphere XMP, Google's panoramic image standard. Users can also make use of the Constellations feature, which enables them to connect spherical images to make an original Street View. Olympus OM-D E-M5 Pro Lens Kit

Olympus Japan has announced a special OM-D E-M5 Black Elite Pro Lens Kit. Comprising an Olympus OM-D E-M5 camera body and M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO lens, this Japan-only special edition features a leather-like finish on the outside of the body including the right-hand grip, plus redesigned main and sub command dials. This Black Elite edition comes with Firmware Version 2.0 as standard. Availability is slated for March.

Jessica Ambats – Capturing the Beauty of Flight

SmugMug Films have launched their second video in the series, Jessica Ambats – Capturing the Beauty of Flight. Jessica Ambats is an air-to-air photographer (meaning she takes photos of planes from planes) and instrument-rated pilot based in Santa Monica.  Her images capture not only modern and historical planes performing feats thousands of feet above our heads, often close enough to capture the exhilarated expression of the pilot on board, but also the gorgeous scenery below. Olympus OM-D E-M10

The Olympus OM-D E-M10 compact system camera combines the image quality, classic styling and focusing speed of the E-M5 with the sheer power of the flagship E-M1 in an extremely compact all-metal casing. The Olympus EM10 features a large, high-speed electronic viewfinder, 1.440.000-dot, 3-inch tiltable LCD, 3-axis image stabilisation, ultrafast autofocus FAST AF, and a pop-up flash.

The E-M10 is available with two lens kits from early February, 2014. The E-M10 body without a lens will cost £529.99, and with the new, super-slim M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 14-42mm 1:3.5-5.6 EZ electronic zoom lens for £699.99. The ECG-1 matching ergonomic grip for keeping a stable hold on the camera will retail for £54.99. The new BCL-0980 9mm Fish-Eye Body Cap lens will cost £89.99.

Olympus SP-100EE

The Olympus SP-100EE is the world's first camera with an integrated dot-sight to aid long zoom framing and subject tracking. The sight works in tandem with the SP-100EE's 24-1200mm 50x optical zoom lens to enable easy high-power zooming and subject capture. Other key features of the SP-100EE include a 16 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, an electronic viewfinder, DSLR-oriented looks, and 60p Full HD movies.

Available in black from March 2014, the Olympus SP-100EE will cost £349.99.
