Sony UK Release New Images by Joe Cornish

One of the world’s most influential large-format landscape photographers, Joe Cornish, has shot a number of images of Icelandic and Scottish scenery to mark the launch of the Sony Alpha 7 and Alpha 7R. These images form part of a series of photography commissions with leading photographers Bay Garnett, Joshua Hoffine and Gavin Evans for the Sony Alpha 7 Full Frame Photography Academy. Armed with the Sony Alpha 7R, Joe travelled to the northern slopes of the Cairngorms in Scotland, where he trekked into the deep glens that run into the mountains. The Icelandic images feature the southern coastal strip of the island where the landscape is dominated by volcanic mountains, huge glaciers and the coast itself, which has huge cliffs that fall into black sand beaches. Joe commented on the commission. “Every outdoors photographer dreams of a super high quality camera that is also really small and light. To have this level of image quality in such a small camera is unprecedented.”
