many thanks for such an in-depth review - very helpful. I have today bought the camera! It replaces my much loved Olympus 400 which had developed a fault.

I have a Canon A580 camera and when I send a picture by computor to be placed in a magazine I am always told that the picture is to small (111 tp 148. Is there anyway this camera could be ajusted to increase the size of the picture.
