I'd like to believe you, Dan, but the evidence is that in real life, 99.99% of the users won't even notice this change and life will go on as before. The small fraction of the population that actually reads the agreements or that follows sites such as Photography Blog may scream, but nothing will happen.
The only way this gets changed is if some random nice person shoots the picture of the century and Facebook rips him off so egregiously that politics and the law take notice. Should happen as soon as 2040, maybe sooner.

No problem, I've just deleted my account today. I didn't really use it anyway and I release my images under CC BY-NC-ND. I wouldn't have to care, but I think it is important as a signal.
Incredible, just to think of it! Whatever Facebook touches gets deeply corrupted!
