Scarab Darkroom for Windows
Scarab Darkroom from Scarab Labs is a new, fast, free and easy-to-use raw converter for Windows. “The beta version of the program has been downloaded over 50.000 times, and is proving to be especially popular among Olympus and Sony users,” says developer Kornél Leh?cz. looks like we are getting a free alternative for other RAW converters. But what's the benefit above RAWTherapee?
It is described that Samsung DSLR cams are supported, but the app is not able to open the RAW files of a Samsung GX10 (DNG).

DNG is not a RAW format per se and this program does not claim to open DNG files.

Scarab Darkroom has its own demosaicing and renderign algorithms. For example, the highlight recovery often works wonders (better than the other raw converters I tested with the same problematic photos). The UI of Scarab is really simple and straightforward - another plus.

Please read about DNG. DNG is a RAW format file like the ones from any other camera which supports RAW.
Read the wikipedia article about DNG RAW before wrinting false comments:

Impressive, it's very quick, simple to use and good result. But it's missing the NX100 raw file :( One good point is thaht it open th K7 DNG without problem, and with file in either sRGB or ADOBE, there is no color problem and no need to switch from color space. There is some bug in interface under XP and in saved exif data, but it worth a try. For advanced processing, there is eiter sylkipix or RawTherapee, but those programs are over complicated, and quite slow despite Pentax making sylkipix more user friendly.

How do you open the K7 DNG? I'm using a Samsung GX10 (which is in fact a Pentax K10D, but without PEF-Files).
With my DNG files it doesn't work.

@luc: Highlight recovery and detail extraction seem to perform rather poorly with D50 raws. I've only tested it with one photo, but it was one with which most converters didn't have problems.

i have something strange going on!! the images loaded into scarabee in the film strip now look fine below as expected, but the image in the main screen look way off!! has anyone any idea,s on this or have the same problem!! This has just recently occurred and on my first use of this program a few days ago it was fine an actually worked great!!
I,m wondering if i,m loading something from my previous use in the clip board, but if it is this, how o i go about removing this filtering an get back to the original set up?? thanks frustrated!!
