The new flagship Fujifilm X-H1 is the first camera in the mirroless X series to include in-body image stabilization (IBIS). The 24.3 megapixel X-H1's 5-axis in-body image stabilization system employs three axial accelerometers, three axial Gyro sensors, and a specially developed dual-processor to offer a maximum of 5.5 stops of compensation when used with most (but not all) XF and XC lenses. The X-H1 is also the first camera in the X series to include ETERNA, a new film simulation ideal for shooting movies, creating understated colors and rich shadow tones. It features a new F-log video mode and supports DCI 4K video, 200 Mbps high bit rate recording and 1080/120P high-speed video.
The Fujifilm X-H1 will be available from March 2018. The Fujifilm XH1 body-only costs £1699 / $1899 or £1949 / $2199 with the new VPB-XH1 vertical battery grip.

The FUJINON MKX 18-55mm T2.9 and FUJINON MKX 50-135mm T2.9 are the first full manual cinema lenses to be compatible with the X Series camera range. These lenses deliver high optical performance and comfortable operability for professional video shooting.

Fujifilm have announced new firmware updates for the GFX 50S, X-T20, X-A3 and X-A10 cameras will be released in the next few months. The GFX firmware update 3.00 will add two new functions “Focus Bracketing” and “35mm Format Mode”. The X-T20 firmware update 2.00 will provide support for “FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO”, improve studio flash controller compatibility, introduce new AF tracking algorithm and include other functional and operational updates.

The Olympus PEN E-PL9 is a new entry-level compact system camera aimed at smartphone users who are looking to upgrade. The Panasonic GF10 / GF90 is a new mirrorless camera aimed at beginners. Accompanied by the strapline "My First Mirrorless", the GF10 / GF90 has a special "4K Selphy" mode that allows you to shoot selfies using the camera's 4K Photo 30fps high speed continuous shooting mode. The 16 megapixel DC-GF10 also sports a new color, now available in Black, White or Orange, a redesigned grip that looks suspiciously like the one found on the Olympus E-PL8, and it uses Micro SD memory cards. Sales of the Panasonic GF10 / GF90 will start in Japan on February 22nd 2018. Note that there is no difference in product specifications between the DC-GF10 / DC-GF90 part numbers.

This collapsible lens is the smallest and lightest (135g) zoom created for Fujifilm’s mirrorless digital camera X series range. Leica Camera has announced the first two editions of a new line of high-performance Summicron-SL lenses for the Leica SL-System; the APO-Summicron-SL 75mm f/2 ASPH. and the APO-Summicron-SL 90mm f/2 ASPH. Both lenses seamlessly work with the SL-System’s lightning-fast autofocus and, as with all SL-Lenses, have been designed and constructed in Germany with exceptional materials for a long work life.
