Sony have released a software update for the Sony T100 camera to fix an issue with the slide show function.
Symptom and Cause
When the “slide show with music” function is used with your transferred music more than 170 seconds in length, the slide show may not play correctly, with the message “No images” appearing on the LCD screen. This issue is caused by a problem affecting the unit’s built-in software that results in insufficient memory capacity during playback.
NOTE: Even if the message “No images” is displayed, this does not affect images saved on the camera. Images saved on the camera can still be replayed and transferred as normal.

ePhotoZine have reviewed the FujiFilm S5 Pro digital SLR camera.
“The auto-focus is perhaps the weakest element of the S5, as it isn’t super-quick, but only wildlife photographers are going to find it a problem. A related features is the Live view on the LCD - this is something few DSLRs offer. Unfortunately, while it works in colour, it only operates with the camera in manual focus mode. And then it only stays on for 30secs while you are busy fiddling with the focus.”

Rob Galbraith have a preview of the new Canon EOS-1D Mark III DSLR camera.
“The camera’s features may be difficult to sum up, but the camera’s performance isn’t. It’s awesome. Pixel-for-pixel, the image quality is the best we’ve seen from a digital SLR, and except for one preproduction body glitch, it’s also the best SLR we’ve ever shot with too. The EOS-1D Mark III shows a level of design care and engineering thoroughness that is simply unprecedented. Its list of features is impressive. But actually using the camera reveals how impressive all these features work.”

Megapixel.net have reviewed the Nikon Coolpix S200 digital camera, which offers 7.1 megapixels, 3x zoom lens (38-114mm), electronic Vibration Reduction to help combat camera shake, ISO 1000 and a 2.5 inch LCD screen.
“The Coolpix S200 is a high quality entry-level camera. It offers a metallic body and excellent finishing, a good monitor and produces good quality images with reasonably bright lighting conditions. Moreover, the e-VR is an added bonus, even it isn’t quite as effective as an optical image stabilization system.”

Imaging Resource have reviewed the 7.1 megapixel Canon PowerShot A550, which has a 2 inch LCD screen, and 4x zoom lens.
“With its high quality imaging, competent feature set, and under $200 price point, the Canon PowerShot A550 can more easily meet the needs of a very wide audience of photographers. For pros and advanced amateurs, it’s nice to have a pocket-sized alternative to a more bulky digital SLR. The price makes this camera an attractive entry for anyone who has been thinking about going digital.”

Imaging Resource have reviewed the Casio EX-Z700, a 7.2 megapixel update of the EX-Z600, with a large 2.7 inch LCD screen with a brightness of 1200cd/m2 and 2 new Best Shot modes.
“Though it’s not the flashiest or slimmest model on the market, the Casio EXILIM EX-Z700 has a lot going for it. With a 7.2 megapixel sensor, a fairly standard 3x zoom (38-114mm equivalent focal range), and a 2.7-inch LCD, the Casio EX-Z700 doesn’t break any new ground, but it is a good little camera.”

Imaging Resource have just reviewed the slim Casio EX-S770 camera, which offers 7.2 megapixel still images and records high-quality movies in MPEG-4 format.
“No one else makes ultraslim cameras like Casio, and its latest model in the svelte EXILIM line—the 7.2 megapixel EX-S770—raises the style bar once again. As I remarked in a review of the Casio EXILIM EX-S600 last year, EXILIM cameras look a lot like the popular RAZR cell phones from Motorola, and the new Casio EX-S770’s resemblance is even more pronounced. And like the latest RAZRs, the Casio S770 comes in different colors including silver, red, and purple.”

CNET have reviewed the Casio EX-Z75, which features a 7.2 megapixel sensor, Anti-Shake DSP mode and other advanced functions.
“While the EX-Z75 does a decent job dealing with color—we saw adequately accurate color reproduction in our test images—it disappoints in most other areas of image quality. Its automatic white balance did a decent job of neutralizing color when shooting under our lab’s very yellow tungsten hot lights, but we were still left with a very slight yellow cast in our images.”

PopPhoto have published their hands-on first impressions of the Sigma SD14 DSLR camera.
“This is a solidly built camera, on a par with cameras in the Canon EOS 30D class. Our roving camera tester Jack Howard commented, “the design is chunky, and satisfyingly large. This is an unabashed DSLR that won’t get confused for an oversized EVF camera. Hard edges have a classic feel that bucks the current trend toward graceful sweeping lines and curves.” In other words, a little tank.”

PCMag have reviewed the Canon Powershot SD1000 camera (called the Digital IXUS 70 in Europe), which is Canon’s slimmest optical zoom camera.

This 7.1 megapixel digicam sets itself apart from its super-slim and compact competition. See what makes it so special by checking out the whole review on PCMag.com.”

“When I first downloaded the vids and looked at them on my Macbook Pro, I thought they were a little soft and undersaturated, but when I ran them through my 720p LCD TV they really seemed to pop with detail and colour. Seeing as that’s the main output I’ll watch them on, I am very happy with the results.”

DIWA member LetsGoDigital have reviewed the Fujifilm S9600 (called the FinePix S9100 in the USA), which is a 9 megapixel camera with a 10x zoom lens.
“The Fujifilm FinePix S9600 leaves me with mixed feelings. The camera itself is fine and feels exceptionally solid. It really seems like a camera for the serious user. This is mainly because of the lens with the real zoom ring and the fine zoom range. The FinePix S9600 will surely please both wide-angle as well as tele-lovers. Also the large amount of buttons indicates a camera for the advanced photographer.”
