Singapore-based Adaptist have released their Pentax K+ Multi-Mount (PK+ MM) mounting ring, which allows photographers to attach Contax/Yashica, Konica, Nikon F and Olympus OM mount lenses to a number of Pentax SLR camera bodies. Compatible models include the Pentax *ist D, *ist DS, *ist DS2, *ist DL, *ist DL2, K100D, K110D, K100D Super, K-m, K2000, K-x, K-r and most Pentax AF SLRs. Note that this is not like a typical adapter - as Adaptist put it: "As most camera mounts have flange focal distances that are too close for adapters to be possible, by changing the original mount ring of the camera to an adaptive one like PK+MM, you can now mount different mount lenses without adapters, and still achieve infinity focus in most cases." The kit contains the PK+ MM plus 2 pieces of mounting shim for Nikon F mount, a 2mm cross-tip Philips screwdriver and a printed instruction manual. The Adaptist Pentax K+ Multi-Mount is available for S$98 + shipping via the website below.

Ricoh is inviting attendees at the 2014 Wedding Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) Expo to try out the Pentax 645D digital medium-format camera. “Using professional equipment like the PENTAX 645D is an outstanding way for photographers to enhance and differentiate what they can offer the consumer,” said Jim Malcolm, Executive Vice President, Ricoh Imaging Americas Corporation. “The added dimension, wider dynamic range and shallow depth of field produced by the 645D create a distinguished look that potential customers will admire and competitors will covet.” In conjunction with the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International Expo, Ricoh Imaging is offering a $500 instant rebate on the purchase of a Pentax 645D during the month of March 2014.

Russian Photography is a new online exhibition presented by the Photographic Museum of Humanity (PMH). DxO Labs have posted their findings on the RED Epic Dragon sensor. The imager has achieved an overall DxOMark Sensor Score of 101, setting a new record. The unusually high overall score is attributable to the sensor's fantastic dynamic range of 14.8EV, and colour depth of 26.5 bits, which is better than what we have seen from the very best medium-format CCDs. The low-light ISO score is 2745, which is a bit lower than that of the very best "35mm full-frame" sensors, but still impressive.
