SanDisk has announced the 64GB SanDisk Connect Wireless Flash Drive, the latest addition to its new line of wireless flash memory storage devices. Billed as the smallest wireless USB storage device available to date, the SanDisk Connect Wireless Flash Drive is designed to alleviate storage capacity limitations that consumers experience with their mobile devices. “We are addressing a noted problem of consumers running out of memory on mobile devices, and are extending the product line with a 64GB Wireless Flash Drive for even more videos, photos, music, and documents on-the-go,” said Dinesh Bahal, vice president, product marketing, SanDisk. “With the SanDisk Connect products, consumers can expand the memory on their phones and tablets, stream movies, and share photos and documents with colleagues, friends and family.” The 64GB SanDisk Connect Wireless Flash Drive is available in the U.S. on sandisk.com, Amazon.com and B&H. It will also be available in select countries in Europe in the coming weeks with pricing still to be confirmed.

JVC has announced two rugged, all-weather Full HD camcorders. Waterproof to a depth of 5m/16.4ft, able to withstand a drop from 1.5m, as well as dust-proof and freeze-proof down to –10˚C/14˚F; the JVC Everio GZ-R70 and GZ-R10 feature  40x optical zoom, 2.5 megapixel back-illuminated CMOS image sensor, audio that zooms with the picture, and compatibility with third-party editing software, including iMovie and Final Cut Pro X. The JVC Everio GZ-R70 additionally offers a built-in LED light and 32GB of internal storage. The GZ-R10 will hit the shelves in March at an SRP of $399.95. The GZ-R70 will be available in April for $499.95.

The Samsung WB2200F dual-grip camera offers a 1/2.3-type 16-megapixel CMOS imager and 60x optical zoom. Equipped with a 20-1200mm equivalent f/2.8-5.9 lens, the Samsung WB2200F features integrated Wi-Fi, image stabilisation, Near-Field Communication (NFC), an i-Function control button and an eye-level electronic viewfinder.

Sigma has announced a new version of its 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 superzoom lens as part of its "Contemporary" product line. The new lens is smaller and lighter than its predecessor and bears the "Macro" designation to reflect its maximum reproduction ratio of 1:3. The close-focus distance is 39cm, which translates into a minimum working distance of less than 15cm. This lens incorporates SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements that have a high refractive index, and corrects chromatic aberration at the telephoto-end very well, the company claims. As before, the Canon, Nikon and Sigma versions have an Optical Stabiliser on board, while the Pentax and Sony variants come without this feature. Availability and pricing have yet to be communicated.

The Sony Cyber-shot W830 combines a 26-208mm equivalent lens, Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation and a metallic exterior in a sleek and compact body. The W810 (above) shares the same CCD but comes with a 26-156mm equivalent lens. The new models offer the opportunity to shoot 360-degree Sweep Panoramas and feature an advanced flash which optimally controls ISO sensitivity so users can light faraway subjects to really bring their pictures to life. Both cameras are limited to 720p capture in video mode, for reasons inherent in the design of their CCDs. The Sony Cyber-shot W830 and W810 will go on general sale in Europe from February 2014.
