Lomography’s Basement Gallery East has announced an upcoming exhibition of works by Stephen Kenny. Kenny's recent series, “Last Night I Sang Karaoke with Bill Murray” centres on the idea of a fantasy lifestyle. The first print of the collection was inspired by a real-life event, which is featured in the series, and spun off other fantasy activities such as playing a round of golf with Alice Cooper or baking cookies with Anna Wintour. The exhibition opens on 5 September 2013 at Lomography East London, 117 Commercial Street, London, E1 6BG.

The Garmin VIRB and VIRB Elite are two new HD 1080p action cameras. VIRB features a rugged and waterproof (IPX-7) housing, 1.4-inch Chroma color display, can record up to three hours of true HD (1080p) video on one charge, digital image stabilization and lens distortion correction, ANT+ connectivity and can capture 16 megapixel still photos while the video camera is recording. The Samsung Galaxy NX is now available to buy in the UK. The Galaxy NX is the world’s first 4G interchangeable lens Connected Compact System Camera (CSC) and is on sale at Jessops for £1299, with selected online and high street retailers to follow.

The Wacom Cintiq Companion and Cintiq Companion Hybrid are two new portable creative tablets. The Cintiq Companion is a fully-fledged Windows 8 tablet, powered by a 3rd generation Intel Core processor and Intel HD Graphics 4000 and running full versions of creative software. The Cintiq Companion Hybrid is a more traditional Cintiq when plugged into a Mac or PC, but when used as a mobile device, works as a stand-alone Android tablet.

The Epson Perfection V550 Photo is a new scanner that can automatically remove dust and scratches from damaged film.
