August 24, 2012 | Zoltan Arva-Toth | Global | Comment |

On November 11 2012 screens in town halls, universities and village squares will play host to the worldwide première of the 11Eleven project’s feature film. Last year, when the calendar read 11.11.11, the project began with photographers, filmmakers, musicians and bloggers joining forces to create a truly global narrative - a snapshot of our world on that day. The full-length feature film that will make its debut in November is only one of the fruits of this worldwide collaboration - it will soon be followed by a photographic book and a world music collection, with all proceeds divided equally between six different charities. Interested readers are encouraged to visit the project’s website for more information.

The 11Eleven Project - A snapshot of our world

The calendar reads 11.11.11 only once every one hundred years. Last year, when the numbers aligned, the 11Eleven Project began and one woman’s dream to unite the world became a reality. On this day photographers, filmmakers, musicians and bloggers joined forces to create a truly global narrative - a snapshot of our world on that day. Danielle Lauren is passionate about conscientious entertainment and believes that the arts can contribute positively to global social change. Today, she and her team at the 11Eleven Project call on all socially conscious creatives to join this worldwide phenomenon and help celebrate the diversity of this amazing planet.

Creating a photographic book, feature-length documentary and a world music collection from the submissions, the 11Eleven Project captures everything from day-to- day to once in a lifetime experiences “This is not a film about our planet and it is a film about our people” Ms. Lauren proudly exclaims.

On November 11 2012 screens in town halls, universities and village squares will play host to the worldwide premier of the project’s feature film. In the spirit of community and inclusivity, the screenings will be free for all audiences and everyone is encouraged to host a screening within their community.

The stunning photographic book and the world music collection will be available soon after, with all proceeds divided equally between six different charities.

The 11Eleven Project is global narrative told by the people, for the people. Shattering geographically and socially imposed boundaries, the project aims to unite the world and plant a seed of compassion amongst its people.
