AKVIS HDRFactory V.3.5: Fantastic High Dynamic Range Images!

March 12, 2013—AKVIS announces the release of AKVIS HDRFactory v.3.5 for Windows and Mac OS X. The software creates HDR images from a series of photographs taken at different exposures. It can also imitate the HDR effect on any single photo.

Version 3.5 adds the new Crop tool which helps to remove unwanted areas and reduce image size. Some bugs have been fixed.

AKVIS HDRFactory uses the HDRI technology to make a High Dynamic Range image from a series of photographs or even from a single photo. It can bridge the gap between what your eyes can see and what your digital camera can record.

The software creates HDR photos by combining several images of the same object taken with different exposure values. The result is an expressive contrasting image that reflects reality with a higher level of authenticity than a simple snapshot.

The name of the program can be taken literally, as AKVIS HDRFactory is a real workshop for the production of fascinating HDR images. With HDRFactory you can come very close to reality and even go beyond it by creating surreal stylized images with fabulous colors and unique effects.

AKVIS HDRFactory can also imitate the HDR effect on any photo that is useful if you don’t have a series of images with different exposures. Just load a single image into HDRFactory and admire the effect which goes beyond photo realism and opens the door into the fascinating world of HDR.

AKVIS HDRFactory brings life and color to your photos! The software can also be used for photo correction. You can slightly adjust color saturation and brightness, bring out the detail in dark areas, change the image temperature and tint, add a glow to your photo for a glamorous touch.

The program offers the number of ready-to-use presets. The preset preview window lets you observe the result in real time. The presets list gives access to a wide choice of effects, from realistic to exuberant brightness and color.

AKVIS HDRFactory can be used as a standalone program and as a plugin to image editors, for Windows and Mac OS X.

In Version 3.5:

Added Crop tool to the standalone version. The Crop tool allows cutting off unwanted areas in the created HDR image and reducing its size. It lets you improve the composition, align the edges in a crooked photo, make a square from a rectangular or contrariwise.

Added support for RAW images from some Canon cameras (CR2): Canon EOS 6D, Canon EOS 600D, Canon EOS 1100D, Canon PowerShot S100.

Fixed bugs in both Win and Mac versions.

Improved compatibility with Windows 8.

Registered users of HDRFactory can upgrade to the newest version for free by downloading and installing the new version.
