Delkin Launches Rugged Memory Card Reader, First to Include UHS-II SD & microSD Slots

POWAY, CA, MAY 12, 2017 - Delkin Devices, a manufacturer of flash storage solutions and camera accessories, announced today the newest addition to their growing line of BLACK products: the Delkin BLACK USB 3.0 Rugged Memory Card Reader. First of its kind to include both UHS-I and UHS-II SD and microSD compatible slots. Combining industrial design with ultra-fast USB 3.0 transfer rates, the Delkin BLACK reader is built to endure even the most strenuous shooting environments.

Utilizing an innovative aluminum-plastic design, the BLACK rugged memory card reader takes advantage of stronger materials to offer ruggedized protection and extend the lifetime of the reader. Other memory card readers in comparison are prone to breakage or damage during normal wear and tear. The reader also provides storage for up to (1) SD card, (1) microSD card and (1) CF card safely within itself and comes with a rubber cover for protection against bumps, impact, water damage, dust and other forms of debris. The innovative design includes a wraparound cord that tucks neatly into the rubberized cover for easy storage.

Delkin's Retail Sales & Marketing Manager, Jenn Sherry, explains, "Our popular Delkin BLACK line of SD, microSD and CF cards begged for a memory card reader to match. Delkin BLACK continues to support our photographers and camera stores with quality products, an industry-leading warranty and the latest technology."

The added ruggedness of Delkin BLACK has allowed Delkin to offer a unique built-in insurance policy for the cards and memory card reader, called their "48 Hour, No-Questions-Asked Replacement Guarantee".

Sherry further explains, "This covers the unthinkable, including pet and child inflicted damage, gum-in-the-camera-bag accidents, salt exposure, and more. Should anything happen, just give us a call and we'll send you a brand-new replacement card or reader in less than 48 hours, along with a pre-paid shipping envelope to get your damaged product back to us."

Designed with three memory card slots, the Delkin BLACK reader is specifically built to handle the high-performance demands of the latest generation of memory cards used in the broadcast, cinema, and photography industries. Both SD & microSD slots fully utilize the super high-speed performance of UHS-II cards, while the CF slot incorporates UDMA 7 and VPG (video performance guarantee) support. Large files, such as high-res RAW images, 4K, 2K & 3D videos, can be offloaded quickly and efficiently at speeds up to 500MB/s (10x faster than USB 2.0)! The improved user workflow reduces transfer time dramatically and allows for quicker file viewing and editing. The reader also allows for data transfer between cards in the reader, giving users the ability to back up in multiple places.

Delkin BLACK products are sold exclusively through authorized camera stores in the US and in Europe, and are not available online. For a complete list of authorized dealers, visit www.delkindevices.com/black.
