Epson UK Press Release

A new range of Epson photo papers for all occasions

The new consumer photo paper range from Epson makes it easy to choose the right paper at the right price

23rd August 2007 – Choosing photo paper can be confusing. Customers are faced with decisions about quality, cost, printer compatibility, sizes and finishes. As part of its ongoing commitment to provide lab-quality prints in the home, Epson has redesigned its consumer photo paper range. The range provides a simple choice of three glossy paper types; Premium Glossy Photo Paper, Glossy Photo Paper and Photo Paper.  It makes choosing the right photo paper easier than ever before, while providing high-quality photographs for all occasions, at the right price.

Each paper type is easily identified by the Epson star rating.  Photo paper is the three-star paper that delivers ‘Good’ quality photos at £5.99 per pack. It is ideal for the price conscious consumer or for high volume photo printing.  Glossy photo paper is a four-star paper for ‘Better’ quality photos, ideal for sharing memories with family and friends and costs just £7.99 per pack.  Premium Glossy photo paper features the five-star rating at £9.99 and offers the ‘Best’ quality for those treasured memories or special events.  The papers are all available in three sizes, 10x15cm (4x6”), 13x18cm (5x7”) and A4, making them suitable for photo albums, picture frames or wall display.

All paper types in the range are the result of rigorous research and development to ensure that they work in harmony with Epson printers and ink technologies to deliver the best possible results.  Each paper type delivers photos that are durable, smooth, bright and glossy.

Mark Robinson, Senior Product Manager, Epson UK, says, “For the consumer there are three key elements to achieving lab-quality photos in the home – a quality photo printer, genuine Epson inks and a quality photo paper. All are designed to work together as a system.  The latter is sometimes forgotten or its technical properties are misunderstood and as a result consumers may not get the quality that they should from their photo printers.  The new Epson photo paper range means that finding the right paper for Epson printers is easy and hassle-free, leaving the customer to choose their favourite photos and enjoy printing at home with confidence.”
