Ilford Photo Re-Organises in USA
Ilford Photo Press Release
With its manufacturing plant and administrative head offices now fully operational following the company’s reconstruction over the past 18 months, ILFORD Photo has re-organised its US presence to reflect the company’s determination to progress the American black-and-white photography market. Throughout the restructuring of its North American operation, ILFORD Photo’s parent company, HARMAN technology Ltd, has maintained consistent supply and support of its full line of black-and-white photographic products, and now announces its new organisation which provides the foundation for its ongoing business in the USA.
Following ILFORD Photo’s new product distribution arrangements for the USA and Canada, HARMAN technology Ltd has set up an American subsidiary called HARMAN technology LLC in New Jersey to handle all market development and technical support in North America.
“With our product distribution structure already established with Wynit and our own subsidiary operation now functioning, we have fully covered our corporate structure and supply network in North America,” says Steven Brierley, president of HARMAN technology LLC and sales director of UK-based head office HARMAN technology Ltd.
Brierley leads a dedicated team of six North American employees who have more than 100 years combined service as former employees of ILFORD Imaging USA. Rod Parsons is vice-president of technical applications, and Eric Luden has been appointed vice-president of marketing.
Veronica Cotter and Mike Bain are marketing managers for the Western Region and the Central Region respectively, while Cotter also has special responsibility nationally for the Education and Fine Art segments. In Canada, Linda Eyskoot has been appointed marketing manager, and Terry Bevens, also based in Canada, completes the team in his role as Technical Applications Manager for North America
Although already an integral part of the North American photography arena, ILFORD Photo has now taken that involvement a major step forward by establishing the HARMAN team as an obvious progression of its mission to expand the world of black-and-white photography.
“It took us a while to get everything sorted after the former Ilford Imaging company in North America ceased to be part of the group,” says Brierley. “However, the establishment of this dedicated support group for our customers completes our new organisation in North America.
“With this highly experienced and dedicated team providing continuity, all our support services are now in place with the ability to look after existing and potential ILFORD Photo customers now and in the future.”
The ILFORD Photo manufacturing plant in Mobberley, England, is in full production supplying the USA and the rest of its world markets (the company now exports to 150 countries) with all their requirements for black-and-white photography consumables. ILFORD Photo is the only manufacturer in the world able to supply the full range of black-and-white photography products - film, paper, and photochemicals, along with a variety of ancillary products and services.
