Back in September 2004 I reported that the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority were considering banning photography on the New York subway. Well, it seems that common sense has prevailed, as several news websites report that the controversial ban has been dropped.

“Police officials have concluded that the ban is not necessary to keep the city’s transportation systems safe…The NYPD says that officers will continue to investigate any suspicious activity.”
