Oasis Launches International Nature Photography Contest

Registration is now open for this year's International Nature Photography Contest, organised by Oasis. There are ten categories for adults, including Landspaces, Mammals, Birds, Other Animals, Storyboard, Underwater, People, Plants, Pets, and Lights, shapes and techniques. The Boys category is divided into two sections; Baby (for children up to 14 years) and Junior (for kids aged 14 to 18 years). The deadline for submissions is 25 December 2013.

International Photography Award for Nature and Environment

OASIS PHOTOCONTEST 2013

Registration is now open to the new edition of the International Nature Photography Oasis Photocontest 2013, (www.oasisphotocontest.com) organized and promoted by Oasis magazine and Italian Association Nature Tourism.

The overall winner will be awarded a cash prize of 2.000 Euros and the prestigious trophy Oasis Photocontest, a work in bronze by the sculptor Michele Vitaloni. At the Italian champion will be awarded the "Press Tours" consisting of a trip to Cuba. A special prize will be awarded by the magazine Oasis.

Also, the ten best photographs of each adult category (10) will receive a prize of 500 euros in cash.

The aforementioned sections are the following:

For the ADULT category:

- Landspaces

- Mammals

- Birds

- All the other animals (reptiles, insects, etc. )

- Storyboard

- Underwater photography

- People

- Plants

- Pets

- Lights, shapes and techniques

The BOYS category is divided into two sections:

- Baby (for children up to 14 years)

- Junior (for kids aged 14 to 18 years )

The Jury members for this edition will be Hans Peter Schau (director of German magazine Naturfoto), Pascal Riner (Art director of French magazine Terre Sauvage), Fabrizio Ventura (editor in chief of Oasis magazine), Rico Besserdich (professional underwater photographer), Angelo Gandolfi (professional wildlife photographer), Sergio Banfi (president of the Italian Society of photo hunt), Francesco Mezzatesta (biologist) and Daniela Gaia (editor of Oasis magazine).

The deadline for submissions is 25 December 2013.

The best photographs will be included in the prestigious catalog of Oasis Photocontest and will be part of the exhibition tour 2014. An important exhibition organized by our team which will be presented in the major cities of Italy. This event was attended by over 250.000 people in 2012.
