Ten One Design has announced the global availability of the Pogo Connect with support for the newly updated Adobe Photoshop Touch. Pogo Connect expands on the benefits of Bluetooth 4.0, pairing directly and effortlessly with the iPad to offer full pressure sensitivity, palm rejection capabilities and more. Pogo Connect sports a new patent-pending technology, a Crescendo Sensor, making the stylus tip highly responsive to pressure and recognizing even the slightest touch. CHINA: Portrait of a People is a hefty 638-page volume containing over 800 colour photos by American photojournalist Tom Carter. After reaching its Kickstarter goal of $50,000 in just 5 hours, Memoto continued to rally support for its wearable micro-camera that captures every moment of your life in “photo keyframes,” ultimately surpassing two stretch goals and reaching a half million dollars in funding.  Capturing a 5-megapixel photo every 30 seconds, the Memoto camera is about the size of a large postage stamp and features geotagging, a built-in rechargeable battery with a LED indicator, and a micro-USB port for charging and downloading pictures to a computer. “Of course, you always dream that your product will have an impact like this, but we were blown away that we received so much support from the community in such a short time frame,” said Martin Källström, CEO of Memoto. “This device represents a turning point in how we remember and share special moments in our lives. Estimated availability for the Memoto camera is early 2013. The unit will be offered in Graphite grey, Arctic white and Memoto orange colors for $279. For the last two days on Kickstarter, Memoto will be offering the camera at the discounted price of $249.

Canon UK has announced that the Canon EOS 6D full-frame digital SLR camera will be available from this weekend at a range of retailers across the country. Priced at £1799.99 for the body only (£1,959.99 with the EF 40mm STM and £2,519.99 with the EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM lens), the Canon EOS 6D is the lightest and most affordable full-frame Canon DSLR to date; featuring a 11-point AF system, 20.2-megapixel sensor, integrated Wi-Fi and GPS.

Adobe has released Adobe Photoshop Touch 1.4, which brings optimisation for 7-inch tablet displays including the iPad Mini and Google Nexus 7. Other new features include support for three pressure-sensitive styli for iPad, new ways to share completed projects to Facebook and Twitter, additional effects like Lens Flare and Stamp Pattern, smoother brush strokes and a new colour selection workflow. Adobe Photoshop Touch 1.4 is immediately available as a free download for existing Photoshop Touch users in the iTunes App Store and Google Play. For new users the app costs £6.99.

Communities in Focus is a new photography competition designed to showcase inspiring images of people and communities from across the UK. There are two categories, one for inspiring images of community life, and the other for photos of projects funded by the Big Lottery Fund making a positive difference to people and communities. To enter the competition you must register for free via the Cam360 website and then follow the instructions on the Communities in Focus application form to submit your photo. All entries must be supplied with a caption explaining when the photo was taken and why it illustrates what’s brilliant about their community, or Big Lottery Fund project. Akvis has released version 3.5 of LightShop, a software application that enables users to create an “infinite number” of light effects. Available as a plugin as well as a standalone program, this update adds support for Photoshop CS6 to the plugin version and offers compatibility with the latest versions of MacOS and Widnows.
