X-Rite has announced that Eizo now offers ColorEdge calibration monitor support via its proprietary ColorNavigator software for X-Rite’s i1Display Pro colorimeter product. The i1Display Pro offers power users ‘Advanced’ user-defined settings and in-depth quality assurance tools for precise colour control, as well as predefined ‘Basic’ settings. “X-Rite is honoured that a major manufacturer like Eizo, and others yet to be announced, have chosen to license X-Rite’s display measurement technology because they respect the integrity of the i1Display Pro hardware to calibrate consistently, accurately and repeatedly,” said Thomas Kunz, X-Rite’s Market Manager, Imaging.

Canon is showcasing its EOS-1D X professional DSLR camera and Pixma Pro-1 photo inkjet printer at Photo Plus Expo in New York City. Carl Zeiss has announced the Distagon T* 2/25 lens in Canon (ZE) and Nikon (ZF.2) versions. The Royal Mail has unveiled a new 1st Class stamp collection which it describes as ‘26-stamp alphabetical odyssey around the UK – featuring images by two of the UK’s favourite landscape photographers, David Noton & Charlie Waite. The collection was launched with a presentation to David Cameron of the stamp representing ‘D’ – 10 Downing Street, featuring an image shot by David Noton (above). The other images in the series that were made by David were Glastonbury Tor, Harlech Castle, Ironbridge, Edinburgh Castle and Carrick a Rede.
