Revolution Mosaic is an iOS photography app that allows iPhone users from around the world to submit their photos to create a gigantic photo mosaic. Scheduled to launch in the App Store this May, Revolution Mosaic invites users from around the world to submit their iPhone photos. Once 360,000 photos are submitted, one of the submitted photos will be chosen to form the final mosaic image. This image will be chosen based on its depiction of the mobile generation. The final mosaic will then be turned into a 48” by 72” mural poster that can be viewed and purchased through the app, the website, or in commercial art galleries.

Barrel Man Apps Press Release

iPhone Users Around the World will Combine 360,000 Personal Photos to Create Iconic Poster

Startup mobile company, Barrel Man Apps, Inc., aims to combine 360,000 iPhone photos from users around the world to form 1 photo mosaic poster to be the symbol of the “Mobile Generation”

Toronto, Ontario, March 22, 2012 – The first generation of commercially available mobile phones was introduced in the early 1990’s when less than 0.1% of the population owned one. Twenty years later, more than 50% of the world’s population owns a mobile phone.

“We are the first of our kind – an entire generation connected by our mobile phones,” says Ian Tuason, Founder of mobile startup Barrel Man Apps, Inc. “We must leave our mark with future generations. We have to let them know where and when the mobile craze all started, which is here and now.”

Barrel Man Apps aims to do just that with the creation of Revolution Mosaic, an iOS photography app that allows iPhone users from around the world to submit their photos to create a gigantic photo mosaic image. A photo mosaic image compiles a large group of photos and uses each photo as a color pixel to create an even larger image.

The Revolution Mosaic app is scheduled to launch in the App Store this May, 2012, inviting iPhone users from around the world to submit their iPhone photos.

Barrel Man Apps is currently seeking additional funding to help pay for app development, testing, and additional platform development like Android. To achieve this goal, Barrel Man Apps Founder, Ian Tuason, has launched a campaign in the world’s largest group funding website - Kickstarter.com.

“The Kickstarter community is passionate about funding and following creative projects, which I think is the perfect audience for Revolution Mosaic,” Tuason continues. “We believe the app will provide people with a thrilling photo sharing experience and a unique opportunity to be a part of an iconic work of art. Pledges to the project start as low as $1 which will ensure you receive the app when it launches. For $10 you can pre-order the high resolution final mosaic once it’s formed, and for $25 you get the final poster delivered to your door – shipping is on me.”
