Rollei has launched its second Full HD car camera, the Car DVR-100. Featuring a 5-megapixel CMOS sensor and 3mm wide-angle lens, the Rollei Car DVR-100 comes with a built-in 3-axis accelerometer, an integrated LED light, a 2.4" LCD screen and an internal lithium-ion battery. The Rollei Car DVR-100 will go on sale from the end of June for a recommended retail price of €109.95.

Rollei Car DVR-100: car camera with G-sensor – for emergency video capture in full HD!

Hamburg, 22 May 2013 – Rollei is launching its second full HD car camera, the Car DVR-100. Hot on the heels of its predecessor Car DVR-110 comes this small digital camcorder, which really delivers as a road and security cam with fantastic high tech extras.

On straight stretches or long and winding roads – this little unit records absolutely everything that happens in the vicinity of your steering wheel. And in full HD quality (1920x1080/30 fps), of course.

Watch out: recording starts automatically when you turn it on. Thanks to the loop function, videos taken before you actually get going are stored in a cache. You don’t lose any recorded material that you didn’t spontaneously react to but that was visible to the camera. With a 5 megapixel CMOS sensor and 3mm wide-angle lens, you can easily capture real-time video with a date stamp and in the best possible quality. This makes the Rollei Car DVR-100 a versatile, full HD dashcam with route recording, surveillance and evidence videos! Pushy drivers and traffic offenders have nowhere to hide and no more excuses … the Car DVR-100 is an incorruptible witness.

What’s on the inside: The integrated g-force sensor is a high-precision, 3-axis accelerometer that continually measures changes in acceleration. Automatic white balance sensitises the camera to the colour temperature of the light in the location being recorded. An integrated LED torch means that you get quality images even when the light is poor. And the internal polymer lithium-ion battery (470 mAh) means that your Rollei Car DVR-100 is mobile. You can operate it just as easily outside the car – at the nearest police station, for example. Take a look: This camera has a 2.4-inch LCD TFT display and comes with a fully articulated suction cup mount as well as a power charger for your car’s cigarette lighter.
